About The Artwork

Io (Jupiter I) one of the four Galilean moons of the planet Jupiter. It is the closest anf fourth-largest moon of Jupiter, has the highest density of all the moons, and has the least amount of water of any known astronomical object in the Solar System. It was discovered in 1610 and was named after the mythological character Io, a priestess of Hera who became one of Zeus' lovers. Here is a photograph of what IO surface would look like if we are fortunate in the near future when we could actually get close enough to take a picture. Since it is said to be the least amount of water the glaze on this image is the icy caps of the moons surface. And, the gold represents.,which are mostly composed of water ice, Io is primarily composed of silicate rock surrounding a molten iron or iron-sulfide core. The blue and rust such represents the dark polar and bright equatorial regions of the moon.. Printed in a special Hahnemuehle Paper 320 gsm. And, Photograph with a Nikon Coolpix L20. ISO 6400.
