The towering palm trees in LA always capture my attention. This black and white photo was taken in on a rare cloudy day in Los Angeles. I used pastels to colorize it. All illustrations and pastel works are protected with a coat of matte varnish.

I developed a love for the wild flowers and brambles that surrounded me. I would often take pictures of my subjects in nature to paint later. Even though my main passion is capturing nature in abstract and impressionist ways through oil paints and canvas, a love of photography has grown out of what was once just utilitarian.
