About The Artwork
The work explore the idea of materiality and how people link my work to their experience. The cyanotype is printed on watercolour paper with a texture that show the linkage with the materiality. The cyanotype is carefully done under UV light exposure in a specific timing. Flyscreen is used as an object for the cyanotype print, as it's show the linkage with domestic object and nature. I would like to explore shadow as situation to present the existence of objects. *Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints.
