My baby brother and I were at our neighborhood playground when he happened upon the corpse of a house gecko, something I'd never actually seen before. It had dried up almost entirely, nearly unrecognizable to me now, even despite having seen so many live ones growing up. If anything there was a sort of beauty to its death, a laughing cry from the afterlife almost. The way I set up the picture gives it, at least to me, a very conflicting emotion, one of fear, and yet one of peace, as if to help me accept death in all its inevitability. There is, in fact, a certain beauty to death; a statement that reminds us that you still go on even after death in the eyes of the third person.

Me? I'm a college student at Iowa State University trying to afford the tuition by selling art. I'm a dreamer I'd like to think. A brown boy lost in the States with his head in the stars studying Aerospace Engineering. I'm originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh; you've probably heard about us on the news at some point, we're rather infamous for being one of the worst places suited for living. Dhaka city's constantly two wrong political statements away from being in flames, but of course, with adversity comes rich culture.
