I've always been fascinated by the botanical illustrators of the past, their attention to detail and their ability to not just appreciate flora for its' obvious and necessary visual impact, but also in the mechanical and purpose of leaves and petals in sustaining and reproducing a plant. These prints are in fact produced from several macro images carefully photographed and then meticulously blended together to produce these huge prints with microscopic detail. The absolute beauty and wonder of nature, captured in fantastic detail, these prints make a wow factor in any room.

Born in Staffordshire, England in 1972 to an English father and Anglo Indian mother, Andrew Carver grew up in and around the contrasting industrial and farming landscapes of the midlands. His life in photography began as an interest and developed into a vocation through higher and further education. After graduating in Fine Art Photography in 1996, Andrew started as a freelance photographic assistant in London working with some of the leading photographers in their fields. His unique and contemporary style did not go unnoticed; in 1998 after being asked to participate in the London Contemporary Photography Fair, the British Journal of Photography (BJP) wrote, “Exhibitors will include many of the UK’s brightest up-and-coming contemporary photographers…Leading names include…Andy Carver.” Still based in London, his work now largely revolves around a long held interest in the inter-relationship that exists between architecture and people. Whilst Andrew has a solid foundation in large format film cameras, he as worked with digital systems since they first arrived on the professional scene around 2001/2. To date his clients include design agencies, corporate clients, architects and construction companies.
