I'm born in front of the Ligurian sea, in Sanremo. I've probably inherited my passion for photography and visual arts from my grandfather, a young greek soldier who found himself in Italy during the second World War, he worked and lived in Liguria and he was also an artist who enjoyed both painting and photography. I won't say anything else on my “high lineage” and my “glorious” first step in the arts, differently from what we usually see in autobiographies, you won't read of an “enfant prodige” here. Growing up, beside my scientific studies, photography never stopped fascinating me, becoming an essential aspect of my everyday life. Throughout the years I've deepened my knowledge of it, studying its evolutions in history, its different techniques, and finally being able to experiment it with more awareness. Then i formed my point of view: -Worshipping natural light, I prefer avoiding digital equipment in favor of the analogical one, whenever it's possible; -Experimenting different kind of photography such as portrait, reportage, still-life, I've finally reached what I consider the essence, and I now present merely evocative images; -Using Black and white is my favorite way of approaching image (and the world), often I consider colors a distraction because they are sometimes able to untruthfully embellish the facts.
