About The Artwork

'Portrait of a Zeppelin' is a self-portrait which was made in conjunction with the short film 'Eidolon'. The film can be viewed here: https://vimeo.com/107380661 A zeppelin is a large, dirigible airship of the early 20th century. The balloons (zeppelins) conceptualize the passing essence of a [self] portrait - it's inherent ephemeralness. Self portraits are, of course, very consciously steered towards a certain replication of one's Self - almost as if to confirm that this is how one 'is'.
