Photographing professionally since 2003, Mario ha traveled the world from Mexico, Africa, and Central America to tell stories. Mario looks for those moments, people, and places that he can capture in a frame and retell their story through retrospection of a small moment in time. Trained as a journalist by world renowned photographers, Mario’s goal is to go beyond what’s in the frame and capture the spirit of the subject in the photo. Now residing in California where he grew up, Mario loves photographing the coast lands and is particularly passionate about Yosemite National Park where he’s been visiting regularly since he was a small child. He balances his photography with a wife, a family, friends, and serving in his community.
