About The Artwork
On a night of a super moon, armed with my new camera and a 400mm telephoto lens I journeyed down to the local beach to be greeted by large seas and a crazy sky. I'd love to say I planned this shot however the truth is that it was one of those happy accidents. I had not brought a tripod so I lent against the side of the surf club to steady myself, aimed my camera at the pool and fired off a number of shots.. There was not much light despite the supermoon so the shutter was slow, and with maybe a bit of camera shake, I was excited to discover when I got home I had created this wonderful feeling of movement and energy captured in painterly like style. Indeed a happy accident...
