About The Artwork

to where? In light of the difficult economic and social conditions that the people of Gaza are going through, which led many residents of this city to start migrating to other countries in the hope of improving the living conditions they are going through, and some of them wanted to achieve their dreams that were prevented in his country due to the customs, traditions and conservative society. Migrants go on an unknown path, the fate of whom is those who manage to reach their goals, and some who are not fortunate and may die in trying to reach. Somaya A Palestinian writer, a resident of the besieged Gaza Strip, began thinking about immigration because of the customs and traditions of the conservative Gazan society, as in some families the girl is not allowed to write or exercise her freedoms, which are guaranteed by law.   Sumaya says: "Writing is great for me. I have been writing since my childhood, but after my eyes opened to the world, I was shocked by the obstacle and the great wall, which is the conservative society that does not allow women to exercise their freedom. The idea of migrating to me started when I faced criticism. Society and permanent irony but for how long! "
