About The Artwork

San Francisco Mission District Cityscape, View from Bernal Heights Park 1988, Diptych 1, Selenium Toned At Bernal Heights Park you will find one of the best places to enjoy 360 degree panorama views of San Francisco sights, including the Golden Gate Bridge, downtown and San Bruno Mountain. Bernal Heights Park is also home to red-tailed hawks, playground fun, off-leash park space for canines, and other distinctive sights that give this park character. Bernal Heights Park is a residential neighborhood and a hilltop park in southeastern San Francisco, California. It offers a 360-degree panorama of the city and its landmarks, such as the Golden Gate Bridge, the downtown skyline, and the Bay. It is also a popular spot for dog owners, hikers, and wildlife enthusiasts. Some additional facts about Bernal Heights Park are: It was originally part of a large land grant given to José Cornelio de Bernal, a soldier in Juan Bautista de Anza’s 1776 expedition. It became a squatter’s paradise in the mid-1800s, until the Van Ness Ordinance of 1855 recognized the settlers as legitimate landowners and citizens. It survived the 1906 earthquake with minimal damage, thanks to its stable rock foundation. It hosts a variety of native grasses and wildflowers, as well as red-tailed hawks and other birds. Technical note: Originates from 4"x5" Kodak T-Max 100 film: 6400dpi 16bit grayscale scan: 1.24 GB file.

I've had a creative impulse from a young age. My art is a means of self expression and to create images that I can revisit and enjoy. Inspiration is not something I can quantify. My artwork recreates a mood or a feeling, I also like making purely decorative images. Hopefully other's enjoy my artwork.
