This is a series of 10 photographs, each a short ‘single frame’ visual story. They are ambiguous, leading the viewer only by elements in the photographs and their titles. What happened after and what led to the situations depicted in the photographs are the viewers’ interpretations entirely. As is the case with most of my work, I take inspiration from the surrealists, the romantics, fairytales and Freud’s aesthetic of ‘The Uncanny’. These are my usual ingredients, which are used in various settings and narratives. These photographs are shot on black and white film, using a mechanical medium format camera, thus giving them a grainy, slightly dusty textured surface and enhancing the sense of mystery in the stories. Printed on Hahnemuhle Photorag 308gsm fine art acid free paper.

He has since been practicing in the UK and India across fashion, art and portraiture. "Constantly searching without really looking for anything - a paradox. It looks like being lost, but I know I’m just being led. I tell stories of the world we live in, and sometimes of an imagined one. Eventually, it all leads me inward, on a path to knowing myself. I rest in the knowledge that ultimately we are not separate from one another. We are part of the whole.”
