Continuing my experimentation with new media and digital painting. The artwork is painted with a digital brush which can achieve effects impossible by traditional means. This particular artwork uses a brush 'loaded' with paint spots where the parameters (chosen by the artist) are altered to create different splatter effects. All the spots are perfectly symmetrical but are painted in such a way as to give the impression of depth or perspective. As with many of the artworks in this series, I enjoy pushing the boundaries between figurative and abstract art. This is an update from an earlier version I made a few years ago. On the cruise she met the Italian psychiatrist Andrea Dotti and fell in love with him on a trip to the Greek ruins. She believed she would have more children and possibly stop working.
