cornovirus lock down one 2020 Print

when lock down began in the uk i could only work from home.. i always new about the cyanotype process but with the fortunate weather we were having it seemed a great opportunity to explore this medium for my first time.. it was brilliant.. after understanding the preparation of chemicals and paper you just needed to explore the printing itself.. i have various acetate negatives available from previous photographic screen printing so used these.. i then stated to think of making my own negatives using oil and photocopy.. a very exciting technique that i combined with the imagery from those months.. we completed one on wood which we auctioned for the NHS.. on the back i usually write bespoke notes, drawings and thoughts.. together with my own lino print marking my studio. the smaller cyanotype works have been to auction and done very well.. you can find these on you tube..
