The sheet was made using linocut technique. The work was created in the bookplate genre and represents graphic variations of the personal sign of the owner of the book. Attribution Masik Vladimir Ilyich (1917–1996) was a Ukrainian graphic artist, painter, master of book illustration, Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1977). He graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk State Art College (now the Dnipro Theater and Art College) in 1939 (his teachers were M. Panin, P. Alyokhin and V. Korenev). In 1939, he entered the Kharkiv Art Institute (now the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts). His education was interrupted by the outbreak of World War II. He graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute (now the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture) in 1950 (his teachers were M. Sharonov and K. Trohimenko). Preservation The work is in a good state.
