About The Artwork

This print highlights the grave of a Scottsman, who loved the poems of Robert Browning. A passage of his work is etched into the grave stone in the yard of graves from long ago. Some date from the time of the church's erection in the 12th Century. I wish the viewer will feel the sense of hopeful joy that emanates from this contemporary grave in spite of death The beam of sunlight on a cloudy English day casts this joy upon a man who died too soon. I like to draw expressive but semi-realistic buildings and places. this a copy printed on archival paper and is one of a 16 print series. It is numbered #3. Prints 1 & 2 have been taken, and the original sold

I am an artist, author, and architect. I just finished “Facing Time,” an art and essay project about my’ self-portraits from 1973 to 2019. The book is in preparation for publication in 2020-2021. I wrote many articles about art and art communities. The latest is a series of 5 articles titled “Joan of Art Ghosts the Arts District” published on the WordPress blog, “The Art Doctore,” 2019.
