About The Artwork
I was inspired by the late Renaissance and Baroque chambers of curiosity. The combination of art, science and nature is very fascinating. I tried to make a modern interpretation and to create a mystical chamber of curiosity. For me this is a very special work, because my father was a distiller and the original painting of the black currant was the draft for one of his bottle-labels. Each of my chambers tells a story since I am also a writer. And I hope that every viewer can create his own story inspired by the various objects in the box.
