« Through a fascinating journey that moves from the ancient to the contemporary, my work invites viewers to reflect on the plasticity of ancient statues and on the possibility of reinterpreting them through sculptures of busts that re-emerge from the depths of the sea. My main goal is to stimulate a reflection on the past and the future, on the transformation that time brings to everything that is left in contact with water, salt and rock for a long time. From objects to archaeological finds, such as the busts and heads of Greek statues, and other elements, undergo a metamorphosis in their appearance due to the presence of salt, a precious resource in Sicily, and the sediments present on the seabed, which give them a new vitality. This transformation process becomes a cathartic act of the sea, capable of restoring a new lifeblood to what comes from the abysmal depths »

Painter & Sculptress. Born in Italy, the homeland of art, she has always cultivated a passion for art that developed during her childhood, spent in the artistic studies of her uncles painters, sculptors and art history professors. She began to take her first steps in 2016 as organizer of contemporary art exhibitions for various Italian and foreign artists. Between 2018 and 2019 she spends short periods in Florence to study art in museums and galleries starting a new path as an art dealer for emerging artists. She continued her studies as an exhibition curator, and deeply inspired by Jackson Pollock's action painting, Yves Klein's deep blue and the intimate content of Frida Kahlo's works and the Greek statues of her beloved Sicily, finally in 2019, she decides to resume her historic passion for art by applying it to abstract painting, "dripping", material paintings and the research and experimentation of new materials for the creation of her light and fluctuating sculptures.
