About The Artwork

I found this branch on one of my walks in nature, and the shape was really interesting to me, reminding a bit to a snake. So I did a little work cleaning and preparing the wood for painting. I decided to go with stronger colors to make it stand out more, so I choose a sample of a milk snake (Lampropeltis triangulum) The sculpture is base free, so it just lays like on the pictures, but there is possibility that it is put on some base/support, or maybe hanged vertical or any other option. Will be shipped in a wooden box, with all protective layers included. If you have additional questions, do not hesitate to ask me vlatko_vlatko@hotmail.com

Graduated at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje in 2012, painting department, in the class of Velo Tashovski, Sveto Manev and Blagoja Manevski. His art, in terms of subject is mainly figurative, but containing the visual and spirit that make an artwork painterly, technically and emotionally-valuable, and at the same time it transmits part of the inner psychological segments of the artist, but also of the outer circumstances, current or permanent. Not caring too much about the thematic orientation, Ilievski in his paintings brings different themes. From the simplest painted fields, to characters, portraits and scenes with figures, from grim depictions of characters, to overexposed joyful landscapes. And all of these are connected with few things, like dynamics, energy, and rhythm of the strokes. Of the several series of paintings, we can point the latest cycles of Ilievski, containing figures of animals in high dynamics and landscapes with accentuated light, energy and movement into them. Ilievski has already realized seven solo exhibitions and has participated in several group exhibitions. He is member of DLUM since 2012. As more significant awards he has received is the award “Vangel Kodzoman” for the most successful exhibition of DLUM for the period 2011-1013.
