About The Artwork
No matter how old we get, we have within us the Inner Child Archetype. This archetype is present since our early beginnings. It is also the baseline of our personality development. A unique aspect of the Inner Child archetype is that it is not just a mental construct of the psyche. It is an element of our soul. It is timeless and ever-present, and not a figment of our past. The Inner Child archetype is an active part of us that wants to be heard, seen and acknowledged. Our inner child is the source of our creativity. It allows us to access our innocence, playful spirit, and wild imagination. This was the first mask I created for my dance performances. It activated my creativity and opened the door into the world of archetypes.
