The artwork "Born with Skates" shows a baby in the womb. The painting is meant to be a flashback, it represents the feeling we have when we dedicate body and soul to a passion. The work is inspired by the statue "Look Down" by the sculptor Jago. This painting is part of the “Born to skate” series. In the series Born to skate, I experimented with a Pop style, recalling popular works of art whose emblems are often evoked in modern art. I added skates, thereby creating a surreal contrast. The icons I chose often evoke the themes of flight and passion, I depict emblems of the total dedication that marks great athletes and dancers, who make huge sacrifices to express their passion amd the freedom of emotions, to “reach the sky”. The painting is done with acrylic colors on cotton canvas. The edges are painted and the signature is present on the front and back sides. The artwork is ready to hang and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The surface is finished with a double layer of mat varnish, which makes it resistant to UV rays and the passage of time.

Sara Lora is an Italian architect, artist, fashion designer and teacher. Born in Vicenza, Italy, she discovered her love for art early on, exploring painting, mixed media sculptures, and decorative vase work. She began crafting clothing at age 10. After relocating to Milan at 18 for architecture studies, she transitioned into the fashion industry. Notably, she worked as a designer for prestigious brands such as Giorgio Armani and Louis Vuitton. Her artistic journey is intertwined with a passion for artistic roller skating. Commencing at 6, she achieved significant milestones, securing the Italian championship at 11 and a global triumph at 16 with the Trissino-based New Age skating team. Although she had to set skating aside for education and career, its influence remained profound. In 2020, she sought to adorn her new home with art. Failing to find pieces resonating with her experiences, she began painting, fusing classical art's enduring beauty with her athletic passion. The "We ART the Champions" series emerged, fusing classic icons with sports elements. Her mixed media art encapsulates athletes' grace, strength, and movement in a blend of classical and contemporary styles. As a former roller figure skating world champion, her artwork draws on personal athletic experiences to vividly convey the physical and emotional intensity of sports.
