At the local Gion Kaburenjo theatre, assembled maiko ( apprentice geisha) from the various geisha districts in downtown Kyoto, put on a show together each spring, a tradition of over six decades. The black-and-white frame at top and bottom of the picture is made from an image (detail) of a traditional Kyoto bamboo store front. Inkjet print on 310 grams Baryta paper (museum quality), signed and numbered verso. Size includes a 1 inch margin for matting/framing purpose.
