Simplicity of form, clean lines, the irony of debris lodged in colored perfection. The colors dictate the final outcome of each piece. The desired feeling of the viewer is contemplative pause, visual pleasure. An understanding that each outcome began as the remnants of surfboard resin. Each color represents a surfboard in Southern California made from upcycled Surfite resin. Recycled Surf resin from glassing shops used to make art. The resin builds one millimeter at a time offering a wealth of different colors hardened and sculpted to abstract minimalism shapes. The materials gathered come from glass room floors and contain various elements including stirring sticks, used razor blades, little paint cups
