"The Aquarium" presents itself as a mysterious and atmospheric etude, crafted from life on one of those somber, rainy days. Executed in a realist manner, this painting delicately beckons the observer into a realm of profound emotions and veiled allegory, wherein each individual may unearth their own unique interpretations and insights. Upon the canvas, a semi-transparent glass vessel gracefully rests, its contours dissolving into the background. Adorned in restrained emerald tones, this vase imparts a pervasive ambiance of serenity, enigma, and intricacy. Purple buds, akin to being ensconced in a half-awakened dream, introduce an enigmatic and mystical element to the composition. Their hue symbolizes secrets concealed and profound sentiments held close. Within the spherical confines of the vase, the silhouettes of stems come into view, shimmering and undulating within the emerald spectrum. They seem to float as if suspended in the ether, their contours blurring, invoking an ethereal sense of the unreal. This scene appears to rekindle a moment long-forgotten in memory, reawakening it to life's canvas. It serves as an unobtrusive vignette or an unexpectedly unlocked recollection of a bygone, half-forgotten past—a testament to the painting's narrative depth and artistic finesse.

I am working as a Mural and Fresco artist. My Fine Art is in private collections in Netherland, Belgium, Swiss, S.Africa, USA, UK view to name. I try to capture fleeting moments and transient effects of light on canvas. You can usually see deep shadows or neon glows contrasting with the main object which makes the scene look alive, deep and mysterious. Where I can't create the necessary volume with paints I am using the applique technique but without over-decoration/saturation of short-living tendencies. It helps me to create multilayers in works. I paint realistic but without the coldness or blindness of photorealism I am fascinated by how magnificent the world is and working to bring out its mysterious beauty. info and exhibitions: www.hannahbarlag.com
