Everything began with a board game, The Waropoly. In this appropriation of the most famous board game in the world, one plays not with real estate properties but with the military affairs of the most powerful army, the US Army. When one gets a grasp at the staggering means at its disposal and the worldwide policy it enforces, it appears that a game supposed to teach the rules of capitalism to the younger ones should undergo a shift and re-focus on the core issues… The work takes many shapes, from edition to a monumental installation including re-appropriated counters. The game is a part of the GeopoliticUS theme, inspired by our contemporary history, its symbols, and the mythology it creates.
