Boat sculpture

This unique boat has multi uses. It can serve a function as a vase for example, and as a beautiful sculptural object. My work is hand built. I layer colors on slabs of clay, then, stretch the colored slabs – causing the colors to break. I, then hand build into a boat shape. The inside of the vessel is glazed with semi Matt black glaze and clear Matt on the outside of the pot. Fired to high temperature. I make my own glazes and they are all food safe. size: aprox. 19cm/7.5" height 30cm/12" length. Hand washing is always preferred for any handmade clay piece made of stoneware clay.
