52 grains of sand. A blend of Mathematics, Applied Sciences, and Art. 52 weeks, 1 crystal/quartz a week, 7 iterations per week, Jan 1st -Dec 31st, 2017.  Each image originates from a database managed by the Department of Geoscience at the UofA, Tucson. I process the resource info in the VESTA software and finalize it with various 2D and 3D graphic editors.
