Idea Cycles

The use of drafting tools creates very regular shapes that contrast with the freehand patterns used to connect the elements of each drawing. Hand drawn geometries have a softness and irregularity that is present even when templates and drafting tools are used. These ARE hand drawn and not digitally created nor drawn on a device). The irregularities that arise from actual ink and paper chemistry mixed with human frailty help link the drafted shapes and freehand patterns into a complex layered and coherent whole.
