Mental Health

These drawings and paintings were made during my 2018 breakdown or soon after. Drawing was a life-saver, enabling me to express what I couldn't put into words (at the time, anyway). To face emotions so intense I believed I couldn't bear them for much longer. After leaving psychiatric hospital I still entirely lacked self-confidence, and believed I had nothing to offer anybody. Happily, I was able to share my drawings with a handful of people, and they encouraged me to share them more widely, for the benefit of others who might go through something similar. I started to do that.
