Spices

For many years, the medium "spices" has been at the heart of my artistic concerns: it refers to my own cultural background and connects individual memory and collective memory. My palette is composed of more than 25 spices treated with a particular technique that allows me to preserve the differences of colors, scents and texture. Finally, spices have a very strong symbolic charge: preciousness, exchanges, offerings, conviviality, cultural crossbreeding, nomadism mingle with the rituals of the oldest civilizations. The invitation to travel has yet to be assumed and transmitted; the links between generations, peoples and cultures remain to be woven.
