WALL CUTTINGS

This is the third collection of artwork in my ‘Urban Mosaic’ series. Drawing on more than 4,500 photographic prints - detail shots of the walls of Manhattan I took between 2008 and 2012 - I have cut them into a variety of geometric shapes and assembled them into abstract collages. Playing with patterns of texture, color, and tone I have sought to create fresh rhythms and harmonies from the tired walls of the city. This collection marks my first move from digital to manual work.
