Amour of Armor

My use of bronze alludes to a long history of protective war implements, in particular, body armor. Using bronze to present intimate, seductive imagery and poetic humor creates a different context for the material. I’m interested in working somewhere between the familiar and the uncomfortable. The imagery may seduce you, but there is a layer of allusion through image and text that gives the work a deeper level of meaning.
