Another U.S. Tour, rolling between the lines on Interstate 70, we decided to stop at the next KOA we found in Kansas. (This is one of my favorite travel stories, but it was too long to tell the whole thing, so I’ll give you the highlights: – We slept in a teepee that night. – The kid at 7/11 was sleeping at the register when I walked in. – There was a bar was named Twister 2, after the first bar that, you guessed it, went up in a twister. – They had a mural on the wall of the bar being taken up in the twister with their most frequent customers added into the painting.
