Australia Felix - Remains Of New Work

Observations, remixes and re-imaginations of the landscape of Victoria, Australia. Shot predominantly in and around the recently fire-ravaged Black Hill reserve in Kyneton, this series counterbalances the impregnable with the vulnerable, regeneration through devastation. Through treatment of texture and colour, reflections and shape, face to face encounters, aerial views or microscopic studies are all open to interpretation, breathing life into these everyday monoliths and creating a family of imaginary characters, each with their own story of life in the bush.
