Beach Bums

Internationally acclaimed, and award-winning oil painter, Louise Farnay has been practicing and exhibiting her work for close to 30 years in Australia, and internationally. Little did she know as a child, that her love for the ocean would one day become her greatest sources of inspiration creatively, and would carve her way into her artistic career. Louise’s recent body of work, her hyper-realism studies seduce the onlooker, by arousing the senses, luring the viewer into understanding her realm of peace, escape and calm. Louise is intrigued by the sun’s reflections on the ocean floor, refraction on the body, figurative distortion, foreshortening, and various illusions of depth.
