Binary series

The theme of this series of work is language.. which I try and reduce down to fundamental elements. Starting with binary systems, the most basic language concept... 1 and 0. In a way, language takes birth from duality. The capacity to differentiate one thing from another. I translate this idea of differentiation into pattern, seeing the lexicon of binary code evident all around is, in any contrasting elements. Patterns on a birds feather, the striation of woven fabric, a zebra crossing.
