BrailleArt
Canadian artist Linda Finstad taught herself braille so she could include it in her tactile art compositions. Her use of heavy acrylic allows her landscapes to come to life under the fingertips of the vision impaired. Her inclusive art form is called BrailleArt her interactive art allows everyone to experience the same art in different -- yet equally powerful -- ways. The messages sculpted in braille are sometimes prayers, inspirational quotes or poignant words of encouragement. Finstad is breaking the golden rule - “Look but don’t touch” she invites people to touch her art.
