Diary Series

I aim to allow speed, intensity, and the multiplicity of the image into the work. The work is retrieved through images sourced from my photography. The surfaces of the work are often appropriate from painterly languages of the past. In this way the work absorbs the hybrid remixed status of painting today and attempts to insert a daily record of the world I witness. The diary paintings are titled and sourced in relation to time and record of where I am based. I sustain a practice among Sao Paulo, Salt Lake City, Crowborough, and London, and this International perspective helps to shape the work, and to contribute within seminars, workshops, and the critical discourse.
