Neiguan / Chinese Meditation

Sima Chengzhen was the author of the very influential Tang era work "Neiguan jing" on Taoist Inner Observation (Meditation). I wanted to create images dealing with the great tradition of Chinese meditation. – I would like to thank following scholars of Chinese thought and religion: Livia Kohn, Isabelle Robinet, Kristofer Schipper, Charles Luk (Lu K'uan Yü), Master Zhang Xiao Ping and Fabrizio Pregadio. Their books/lessons on Chinese Taoist Meditation, Longevity Techniques and Inner Alchemy inspired me. Livia Kohn‘s translations of the Neiguan jing (1989 and 2010) were the starting point for the creation of the whole series dedicated to "Chinese Meditation".
