Genius Loci

I moved from the city to the countryside. The first thing I did, after installing, was to make a drawing. Something I did not do for five years. It seemed I picked up where I left off. As if the countryside crawled it's way into my drawings. My surroundings found their way into my drawings. When I draw, I really focus. Like I shut myself down, just me, my piece of paper and a charcoal. Unconsciously the surroundings come inside. Which has it's effect on my drawings. It's like as if my surroundings are inside of me.
