Fading Memories

Created from family photos collected from my childhood, this series of images deals with the perception of memory and how it fades and changes over time. The images show people that are no longer in my life as well as those that are, but from a place long gone yet still present. I'm fascinated by how my memory of an event or place is vs how it was captured and recorded. The images here are colorized, distressed, and faded like a weak television signal - present, but not quite complete.
