HUEmans
These vibrant HUEmans came to life through an assignment I gave myself. I was not a fan of abstract art, but I wanted to see what I would create if I was given the assignment to create abstract art. The reason for this was that for many years I shunned Van Gogh’s work until I stood in front of his paintings at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. I felt like a fool as I gazed upon his brush strokes and how they came to life with the light hitting the textures and creating intriguing shadows. I finally understood why his work was impressive. That is why I decided to create an art style that I ridiculed. I wanted to find that beauty that I might be missing.
