Leslie Spann Atelier

My paintings are inspired by the Paris of Colette and Anais Nin - at least the one that lives in my imagination. I'm also inspired by the decadence of Weimer Berlin and Anita Berber. Looking at my work you can see multiple layers of textures and colors that might bring to mind the gorgeous decay of an old French home or cafe. I think there is beauty in decrepitude and I try to capture some of that.
