Liminal Space

The word liminal comes from the Latin word ‘limen’, meaning threshold – any point or place of entering or beginning. A liminal space is the time between the ‘what was’ and the ‘next.’ This exhibition addresses the liminal space we experience after an intimate relationship has ended. A series of 8 paintings depicts memories of growing together, falling in love, moving apart and healing. The paintings honor the strength we carry in our spines and the resilience we have to embody to move forward. It invites the viewer into the sacred emotional space often only reserved for those closest to us and helps us recognize there is hope in the process of returning home to yourself.
