This artworks arising from a deep exploration of fundamental questions, about the self, life and to where art originates from; how the immaterial perceived manifests into a tangible form. Painting is a spiritual process and the selection of materials is not arbitrary but is directly informed and modified by it. Both milk paint and casein paint derived from natural elements, I aligned with their organic nature and earthly qualities, they are grounding. From the meticulous preparation with the paint to the meditative act of painting itself - the layering of colors, the repetition of marks and strokes are more of the same, a state/space where introspection and contemplation inhabit and expand.
