Working Out the Kinks

This series of abstract mixed media works include drawing, painting and simulated multiple exposure photography. Layers of lines, shapes, paint splatters and photography fuse together to express multiple ideas which on the surface do not necessarily cohabit easily. This series is an exploration of opposing viewpoints which I find myself wrestling with in the current socio-political environment we're living in. Biased news channels and social media algorithms support this subjugation into idealogical echo chambers, only showing us content which supports our current world view. Each work printed and painted on sheets of transparent plexiglass, layered with 1/4” of space between.
