Black Hues

The Black Hues Series was originally for Black History Month in 2021 and evolved to become a cornerstone sub-series of Recycled Abstract. The technique of combining faces into scenes that spoke an underlying message went on to form the basis for the 'SurReal Scenes' Series and animated digital works and NFTs. Both overt and subtle details guide the messaging. The physical pieces elevated the collaging technique with more details to make sometimes eclectic images blend seamlessly. While the related animated digital images helped tell a more complete story. Many of the pieces in this series are favorites and will not be sold as they have muse-like qualities and continue to bring inspiration.
