TECHNOTOPES, paintings
This collection is a about a series of artwork, entitled ‘Technotopes’ on which I worked for about fifteen years. In my paintings, in oil paint and acrylic paint, but also in a huge amount of drawings, I visualize the world of metropoles, industrial complexes, shopping malls and traffic flows. Rhythm and light, especially in clair obscure are the main artistic resources I use for my compositions.
In 2015 a book was published about this series.
I found my inspiration in the tradition of Dutch landscape painting and also in the architectural aspects of Vermeer, de Hoogh and Saenredam. With this background I am searching for a vision on today's world.
