Archaic Landscapes

My painting is about exploring the unknown. At the moment as a painter I have returned back to my figurative roots. Technically I am influenced by painters like William Turner, who developed his expressive Alla Prima painting style in the mid of the nineteenth century. This was a revolutionary for it allowed painter to express his feelings more directly on canvas. My painting technic is similarly instant (expressionistic) landscape painting. Lately some intense archaic vistas has appeared to emerge in my paintings. For me they are like ”stories” or sensations about unknown places in unknown time. In these previous paintings I have found comprehensive forms to express those sensations.
