BAR LESSON - Mozart: Piano Sonata No.15 in C Major
This installation depicts a single ballerina practicing at the bar to the music of Mozart's Piano Sonata No.15. The pictures is comprised of two elements: the ballerina motion captured as if by a camera(frame by frame,so to speak) and the opening measures from the score of the sonata. Additionally I've made use of only three colors which to me help clarify and convey motion.
For me fresco is the best medium for capturing movement, especially the motion of a moving human body. I believe this because in fresco these is only one chance at capturing the image - mistakes cannot be made due to drying times. Fresco seems musical to me as well, perhaps because of the pure colors used make me think of musical tones.
